Well, thankfully there are many new and wonderful ways to operate a business or an organization these days.
A beautiful example is lived and practiced by Automattic, the folks who - amongs other things - are the makers of WordPress.
Being involved in something global needs global input from a global crowd of contributors, so that’s what we have:
a growing team of living diversity, investing varying degrees of energy and brainpower, depending on the time of the day, on the demands that come from accompanying jobs, on the children and their schools, on our members, the weather, the season, and many other factors. Some of these things accelerate performance, some slow it down and when it gets too much we look for enforcement. However, when there is room for thought and imagination, we think and we imagine.
